Virtual Assistance

by Debbie Franklin on August 26, 2008

Many of us went into the world of being home-based business owners because of the freedom it gives us; flexibility with setting our working hours and days off, and the ability to spend more time with our families, no commuting, etc. Many of us then became all things to our business; the bookkeeper, the salesman, website manager, etc. Instead of us controlling and creating our business, it controls us. We are working long hours, not spending the time with our families — we are spending hours working IN our business and not ON our business.

But, as our business grows, we need support, yet many of us do not want other people in our home. We do not want to have to pay payroll taxes, purchase additional office equipment, or create additional space for them to work. We need “virtual” support.

Virtual Assistants (VAs) are business owners who help to support and grow your business. They work on an hourly or retainer basis from their own home or office, so you pay for only the hours you need. They handle all the admin (busy) work, so you can focus on income producing activities.

Find a VA that matches YOUR needs. VAs are long term partners who are committed to helping your succeed. Looking for a VA? AssistU has a VA training course and you can locate graduates from here. Another resource is the International Virtual Assistants Association.

Don’t wait until you are overwhelmed and overworked.
